This evening we are going on a short trip away from home. We will spend three nights in a hotel and, all being well, return home on Sunday.
Some fancy footwork is required because Tigger has to go to work today and we can set out only afterwards. This leaves us limited time to meet our transport’s departure time. Tigger packed her bag last night and it stands ready near the door. I have now packed my own bag and have nothing to do until an as yet unknown time when Tigger’s bus will reach the stop near home and I, having been alerted by text message, will leap aboard carrying both our bags. We will then travel together to St Pancras International Station, pass through the Eurostar security procedures and find our reserved seats on the train to…
As usual I will not say where until we return and I write about our trip. Here, though, are some clues. The name of the town we are visiting begins with a ‘B’ and we spent time there just a few years ago. There is a famous house in Art Nouveau style there that we visited.
That should be enough though there are no prizes for correct (or wrong) guesses!
Oh, yes, and if you are resident in the UK, don’t forget that the clocks go forward one hour during the night of Saturday to Sunday (March 25-26).
