North to a familiar destination

At almost the shortest possible notice, we learnt that we were off up north again tomorrow. The destination is familiar. In fact, we went there just over a week ago. Yes, it’s Sheffield again.

Because Friday is apt to be a busy day on the trains (people going home for the weekend and all that) and because we could buy the tickets only today, all the cheap tickets had gone. Therefore Tigger will depart early to make sure that the package arrives before the deadline and I will come along later on an off-peak ticket.

To make things more interesting, our proposed itinerary is London to Sheffield to Chesterfield to London. In other words, once we have had our traditional Sheffield lunch of vegetarian fish and chips, we shall be off to Chesterfield to see what that town has to offer us, and return to London from there.

For now, we await the ring on the doorbell signifying that the courier has arrived with the package.

You can’t seem to leave Sheffield alone ! Perhaps you should move back to Yorkshire ?
