Omelette Day came early this week, on Thursday (today) instead of Friday. Why? Well, because we’ll be out of London tomorrow.
Tomorrow we are off on a courier run up north to the Viking city of Jorvik or York, to give it its modern name.
It’s going to be one of those untidy ones where we receive the package only just before setting out and don’t know when we shall receive it. Still, we have done this several times before and are not expecting any problems. The deadline for delivery is late afternoon so we have plenty of time (which of course is why the production team feel they can go right up to the last minute).
What we do in York after completing the job will depend on the weather and how we feel. At this time of year, indoor pastimes seem best so we might visit a museum that we have had our eye on for some time. We have open railway tickets, so we can return home as early or late as we wish.
