The good news is that I have made a speedy recovery from my cold and, despite a lingering cough, feel almost back to normal. The bad news is that Tigger has gone down with it and stayed off work today.
A cold is “just a cold” but I am always wary of them as I rarely get a light one. They almost always go down onto my chest, often leading to weeks of a racking cough that keeps me awake at night. This may have something to do with the fact that I had bronchitis as a child and was quite seriously ill at one point. Maybe it has left a constitutional weakness.
At least I was able to put some time into writing up our trip to the Isle of Man and this is now finished. If you are interested you will find the item entitled “Isle of Man 2007” under the “Travels” title.
I have started on the Shrewsbury trip. This was shorter and won’t take me as long, all being well, though we covered a lot of ground and this all adds to the length of the narrative.
Hitherto, I have relied on Tigger for photographs. This was good in that I didn’t have to worry about photography during the trip but bad inasmuch as two people tend to photograph different things so it is sometimes hard for me find photos that fit my narrative. I have therefore dug out my old digital camera and gone back to taking my own photos. I am also trialling a cataloguing software so that I can label all my photos and recover pictures on specific topics very easily.
In 10 days, we are off again. The reservations are made and the tickets bought so we are committed to going, come hell or high water as the tickets are non-refundable. I won’t say where we are going until I post my account later. You can have some fun guessing where it might be. It is a seaside location in the south of England. Not much to go on, I know. We tigers like being mysterious.
