This is what happened to the little corner shops in Britain: people abandoned them for the supermarket and only used them when they needed some little item late at night. Unsurprisingly, the little shops died.

The Amwell Street businesses cannot compete in terms of prices with the big shops and have to supplement their income by other means, such as trading online. Those that cannot do this will eventually close. There is already a For Sale notice in front of the delightful antique clock shop.</description>

		<description>We have a little street of shops near here and hope it stays. They are all little convenience shops and an Arabic teahouse and a Dutch café. They are very handy to have close by and sell quality items at reasonable prices. I always wish the small shops well and hope they get the clients they deserve.</description>
